Skills for Jobs Canada helps learners and employers find relevant, high-quality training to support rapid skills development across in-demand sectors. Courses and programs are offered by participating public postsecondary institutions, private training providers, and non-profit organizations in Canada.
Public institutions are typically regulated to adhere to recognized quality assurance (QA) frameworks. Private and non-profit organizations that wish to be listed in Skills for Jobs Canada are subject to a quality assurance review process administered by Digital Campus Canada | eCampusOntario.
Stream 1: Providers whose organization, program(s), or course(s) have already been subject to approval, endorsement, accreditation, or recognition by a regulatory body, government agency, industry/professional association, or trade union may submit supporting documentation to Digital Campus Canada | eCampusOntario. Upon review, the provider’s relevant course(s) or program(s) will be approved for listing in Skills for Jobs Canada.
Stream 2: Providers whose organization, program(s), or course(s) have not yet been subject to approval, endorsement, accreditation, or recognition by a regulatory body, government agency, industry/professional association, or trade union must supply detailed information about each course or program offering to be considered for inclusion in Skills for Jobs Canada. Submissions will be evaluated using a Quality Assurance Validation Rubric. Evaluation categories consist of: Issuing Body, Course/Program Design, Requirements, Interactivity, Learning Outcomes, Skills and Competencies, Assessments, Instructional Materials, Activities, Technologies, Industry Alignment, Employer Partnerships, Supports, Approvals, Updates, and Recognition. A course or program must achieve a score of Pass in at least 12 of 16 categories to be listed in the platform. A copy of the rubric can be obtained by contacting support@skillsforjobs.ca
